Optical Delay Line
The Optical Zonu Switched Delay Line System provides a means for Radar, Lidar, and Antenna system design and test engineers to insert actual time delays for the purpose of simulation and calibration. Fiber is compact and lightweight, and makes possible switched delays that are not feasible with RF cabling. The system is a highly configurable 19” rack mount system that supports up to 212 (4096) switched delays (assumes three J-Chassis J-OPS switching plug-in modules). Actual delays and delay resolution are customizable. RF status and optical switching may be monitored and controlled via serial or SSH command line interface, HTTP Web user interface, Optical Zonu Managed RFoF graphical user interface, and/or SNMP v2 and v3 (see JS14 Managed Switch datasheet)
- Fixed or variable delays (50 nsec to 2 msec total)
- Switched delays consisting of 2N (N = 1, 2, …, 12) possible delay values are available by stacking 4-bit pluggable switching modules. Three 4-bit switching modules enable 212 = 4,096 possible
delay values. - Enable ultra-fine resolution (~ 10 nsec) around any specific baseline
- RF frequencies up to 50 GHz.
- Extended operating temperature range available
- Optical AGC available for fixed RF output level switched variable delays
- Remote and local switching control available via browser based graphical user interface and local toggle switches.
Our Delay Line modules include highly innovative and proprietary technologies. As such, we kindly ask that you identify yourself, and we will immediately send this product’s datasheet to your email address.
